For the purposes of this chart the bonus ball numbers have not been included.
So we had three draws in the whole of the month that didn't have any winners at all, while the biggest draw for jackpot winners was also the most unusual. Just take a look at the numbers that were drawn on Saturday 11th! All six numbers were in the twenties, and there were three pairs all in all – 20 and 21, 23 and 24, and 27 and 28. Whoever picked those must have thought the odds of them coming out were very long, but eleven people bucked those odds!
The biggest jackpot total was £8.57 million on the 25th, which just one lucky winner took home, and the smallest was £1.95 million, which was split between four lucky winners. As for the jackpot share, the largest was £8.57 for that one single winner on the 25th, and the smallest was for the last draw of the month, where each of the four winners took home £488, 366.
So again it was a pretty good month for jackpot winners. Even on the 11th when we had those eleven winners and some very bizarre numbers, each jackpot winner still went away with £713,924.
So let's take a look at which numbers kept coming up again and again over the whole month. And there is plenty to look at this time around. For starters we have the following numbers that popped up twice each – 6, 42, 18, 28, 24, 15, 10 and 20. Coming up three times each were 27, 29, 38, 40, 1 and 12.
And there were plenty of pairs too – 17 and 18, 28 and 29, 24 and 25, 20 and 21, 23 and 24, 27 and 28, and 39 and 40.
One thing that really stands out here – especially in the pairs – is that the twenties were very heavily favoured throughout the month. Does this mean that we should steer clear of them next month? While the numbers should always have an equal chance of coming out at any one time, we've often seen peaks and troughs occurring in certain ways, so keep an eye out!
And here are the numbers we didn't see during October – 2, 4, 5, 7, 11, 14, 16, 19, 22, 26, 33, 36, 41, 44, 45 and 47. Let's not forget too that we had nine draws this month and not eight, so that can affect the number of er, numbers that we don't see!
So it was quite an eye opening month all in all, and it gives us something to watch out for next month. Will we see quite as many pairs or numbers in the twenties? And seeing as we had no triples, perhaps one or two of those will pop up as well?
Other winners
So what was on offer for the five numbers plus bonus ball winners in October? Let's find out.
On Wednesday 1st October, one lucky winner bagged £822,323.
On Saturday 4th October, sixteen people walked away with £103,110 each.
On Wednesday 8th October, ten people won £76,756 each.
On Saturday 11th October, seven people managed to bag an impressive £235,542 each.
On Wednesday 15th October, six people walked away with a cool £130,868 each.
On Saturday 18th October, a whopping twenty one people got £66,502 apiece.
On Wednesday 22nd October, just five people won £174,490 each.
On Saturday 25th October, eight people went away £220,629 richer.
On Wednesday 29th October, an impressive nineteen people won £31,635 each.
So that makes the lowest payout for October £31,635 and the highest by far was £822,323. That makes a difference of an incredible £790, 688. The best day for winning five plus the bonus was definitely the first of the month, with the last draw coming in last.

It was clearly a month of extremes as far as the Thunderball number was concerned. Number 1 came out three times, while number 11 came out twice. 13 was the highest Thunderball number of the lot though.

So some more reasonably high jackpots this time around, although nothing near the hundred million mark as we saw previously.
While there were no jackpot winners the first week, the second week saw one lucky winner of the £22.91 million pound prize. There were then two more weeks with no jackpot winners before two people divided the £34.07 million pound prize between them on the last day of the month.
None of the big winners were in the UK, but we can hope for better next month!
Lotto Hotpicks
This is the draw where the top prize comes in at £130,000, so it's quite natural to have a lower degree of interest in this one. There are a lot of people who prefer to play the bigger draws with more cash on offer for the winners.
That's why we have a lot less in the way of winners, and during October there was just one jackpot winner. They won £130,000 on 25th October.
Will we see any more winners next month? Come back and find out in our monthly report!
Dream Number
This is the one where we see even fewer winners than in the Lotto Hotpicks draw!
But during September there were two after a long dry spell, so does that mean we are on a run… or will they be the only winners we see for a while?
Let's find out. In actual fact we got ONE winner, who walked away with half a million pounds on 18th October. So maybe that is the end of this lucky run… or is it?
Daily Play
There were eight winners in all for the whole of September in the draw that takes place every day except for Sunday.
As far as October was concerned, we had the following results. The second half of the month brought the three successful jackpot winners this time, with a single win occurring on the 16th, 20th and 30th respectively.
So will you be playing Daily Play next month? Could we be reporting on your lucky win perhaps? Only time will tell!
Overall results
So October certainly had its moments as far as the various lottery draws were concerned.
We had some big winners in the main lottery draw, and while the jackpots in the EuroMillions draws weren't as huge as they were in September, they were still wonderful enough to be on the receiving end of! Hopefully we will be able to report on a UK jackpot winner for that draw very soon.
And perhaps the one winner in the Dream Number draw came as something of a surprise as well. This is quite a hard one to actually win, since you have to get the exact numbers in exactly the right order to do so. We think that we might not see any more winners next month – or possibly not even for a while now – so after sticking our neck on the line there it will be interesting to see if we are proved right next month…
We also think that there will be less numbers in the twenties in the main Lotto draw – and don't forget, there tends to be more winners when lower numbers come out.
So good luck for the month ahead, and we will see you next time!
