How do the syndicates work?

Each EuroMillions syndicate is made up of 39 members.  Each member has five lotto numbers in common.  The syndicate's entries into the draw are laid out in such a way as to guarantee all the Lucky Star numbers are covered, so your syndicate only has to match the main numbers each time.
