The results for the Lotto draw in October
October had nine draws in total just as September did, so there were plenty of chances to win a prize. There were sixteen jackpot winners in all, and after two draws with no winners at all we had two jackpot millionaires on the 23rd October. They each took home more than £6.7 million!
The first monthly draw had six jackpot winners while the third draw had five. So it was a month of extremes in some ways for sure. The first draw also had the lowest jackpot share at £772,211 per winning ticket.
Six out of the nine draws featured single digit numbers in the line up of winning numbers. All but two draws had numbers in the forties, while three draws featured three winning numbers in the thirties each time. Does this mean we will see fewer numbers in the thirties as winners during November?
The bonus ball number was quite varied during the month. The only real quirk was that the number 46 popped out twice as the bonus with just one week separating the two appearances. It never appeared as a main number though.
EuroMillions
There were five EuroMillions draws taking place during October, with three jackpot winners spread out over the whole month. However the most interesting win was an amazing £113,019,926 – won by one UK ticket holder. Congratulations to them – has it sunk in yet, do you think?
The numbers 3, 8 and 6 all came out twice during the month as Lucky Stars. It was also a month for low numbers as three of the five winners on the 1st and the 22nd were all single digit numbers. The 8th and the 15th also saw three digits in the thirties among the main winners, so it was an interesting run of numbers during October.
In conclusion
It was an incredible month for both draws as you can see. We had two runs of two draws in the main Lotto event where no jackpot winners were picked. We will actually be starting November with a double rollover, so brace yourselves for what could be another big winner!
