Another month has passed us by once again, and it is time to see how you did during the National Lottery draws in May. If you entered the Lotto draws or the EuroMillions draws, now is the time to find out if you won anything. If you haven’t checked your tickets get them ready now as we have the information you need.
Maybe May was the month when your lucky numbers finally came up? Why not grab a couple of minutes now to find out if they did?
The results for the Lotto draw in May
The month of May saw nine Lotto draws take place, and it gave us one more jackpot winner than we had seen in April – sixteen in total. The first draw of the month produced just one winner, and after that we had two draws where no jackpot winners got lucky at all. The fourth draw of the month was therefore a double rollover with a jackpot fund of £11,010,900. This was split between two winners who each netted £5,505,450.
This was actually the biggest jackpot share of the month, and it occurred on the 12th. The smallest occurred some time later in May on the 26th, when three people each won £624,631.
There was quite a difference between the two amounts that came out as the largest and smallest wins for those who snagged a bonus ball prize during May as well. The smallest was on the 26th when fifteen people each walked away with £38,438, whereas the largest was a whopping £348,002 which two people each won on the 5th of the month.
Numbers in the high forties appeared in every single draw but one, while the number four popped out three times in the main draw. We had a triple run of numbers appearing in the first draw of the month when 28, 29 and 30 all came out. A couple of other pairs in the twenties also made an appearance during the month.
EuroMillions
Let’s leave the Lotto draw behind now and see what happened in the EuroMillions draw for May. Did you take part in this, and if so did you get lucky and scoop some kind of prize?
If you remember from last time we were opening up the month with a rollover of £52,603,784. But the prize was not won on that date, and instead we would be treated to a rollover draw of £84,451,320 the following Friday.
Not only was that amount won by a single ticket, but the person holding that ticket lives in the UK. So we would like to send our warm congratulations to whoever might have been holding that very lucky – and very wealthy – ticket!
The largest win for the next best prize, the five plus one lucky star, went to eight winners on the last Friday of the month. On this occasion the prize for each person was an appreciable £264,921.
In conclusion
So it was a memorable month with a huge rollover EuroMillions jackpot going to one UK winner. Congratulations if it was you, and good luck for next month if it wasn’t!
