The results for the Lotto draw in March
There were nine main Lotto draws during March, with only one of those draws presenting us with no jackpot winners at all. Every other draw had at least one lucky jackpot winner, with the biggest number coming on the 20th March when five people each scooped £791,583. The biggest jackpot amount for the month came on the 17th when a single winner scooped a massive £2,969,627. The smallest jackpot amount went to four people on the 24th, with each one winning £555,879.
As far as the bonus ball winners were concerned, there were some interesting results here too. We saw five winners each winning an impressive £182,746 on the 17th, with the smallest share being £58,622 on the 27th. An incredible twenty four separate winners walked away with that.
The numbers themselves were interesting to look at as well. Eight out of the nine draws had at least one number in the forties popping up among the winners. Elsewhere only five of the nine draws produced single digit numbers among the winners.
The number 6 appeared three times, while the number 13 was definitely lucky for some as it popped up three times in the main draw and once as a bonus ball as well. The number 44 also appeared three times while number 49 popped out twice.
EuroMillions
This is the one that produces monster jackpots, and March was no different in this respect. The month kicked off with a huge rollover jackpot of £41.7 million, which was won by one lucky person. No UK winners this time for the big rollover.
The next two weeks both had no jackpot winners so we were left with another rollover for the final draw of the month – this time of more than £39.7 million pounds. Once again just one lucky winner won this – and they are somewhere in the UK.
At least one number in the forties appeared in three out of the four draws this month, with single digit numbers popping up in two out of four draws. The number two was a Lucky Star twice, as was the number 7.
There were some good prizes for matching five numbers plus one Lucky Star as well. The largest one went to six winners on the 26th, with each one scooping £416,636.
In conclusion
So it was another massive rollover time in the EuroMillions draw, meaning that we will start with a fresh jackpot in April. We also have a fresh jackpot on standby for the Lotto draw, so make sure you have your new tickets at the ready!
