Monthly Review Of Lottery Draws For June 2009

Welcome back to our regular look at the lottery draws for last month.  If you’ve been busy watching the thrilling tennis from Wimbledon lately, you might have ended up putting your lottery tickets in a drawer and forgetting to check them!

But even if that is the case, don’t worry.  As usual we have gathered together all the best results from the last month and put them together in one easy to read report for you.  If you think you’ve got any odd tickets lying around that haven’t been checked yet, now is the time to sort them out and get them ready!

There were some wonderful wins reported last time, so who knows, you might be among the lucky winners this time around.  With million pound plus jackpots to be had, it really is worth buying the odd ticket or two to see if you can grab your share of what is on offer.  And of course you have far more than just the main Lotto draw to get your teeth into – there is the EuroMillions draw for a start.  That always produces huge jackpots!

And of course we have also got the numbers you need for all the other main draws in the National Lottery too.  So get those tickets at the ready and you might just be in for a nice surprise.

So without any further ado, let’s see what happened in the lottery draws en masse in June.

For the purposes of this chart the bonus ball numbers have not been included.

So what do we see here?  Well the first thing that jumps out is that there were three draws with no jackpot winners at all.  One resulted in four winners the following week, while the other two rollovers saw two winners apiece sharing the larger jackpot amount.  And the largest number of jackpot winners in a single draw was the one which had four winners.

So in fact that meant that every jackpot share for the whole month was over a million pounds.  The largest one was on the 27th of the month, when two people walked away with £3,276,391 each.  The smallest – if you can call it that – was on the 6th, when four people got £1,885,518 each.

Let’s have a look at the most common numbers to turn up during June now, as we see whether any of them came out two, three or perhaps even four times.  Did you have any of these?  The numbers which popped out twice were 4, 6, 35, 14, 42, 3, 8, 21, 23, 36 and 10.  Just two numbers came out three times – they were 31 and 17 – and we didn’t see any numbers coming out four times.

Let’s see now which numbers didn’t appear at all during June.  These are always worth looking at because you can never tell if they will pop up next time around or not!  Here are the ones that didn’t come out – 2, 5, 7, 12, 15, 16, 19, 27, 34, 37, 38, 39, 44, 45, 47 and 49.  So we had quite a few numbers showing up in the thirties and forties, while just one number from the twenties didn’t come out.  Will that pattern reverse itself next month?

We also had four numbers in the teens that didn’t come out, so there was clearly quite a good showing of these numbers in the main draw last month.  Could it be the opposite next time?

Finally we had four sets of pairs coming out in the draws in June – 41 and 42, 10 and 11, 20 and 21, and 25 and 26.  Not a bad spread for the month as a whole, but we didn’t see any trios coming out.  Perhaps we will next time?

Other winners

So that is the jackpot taken care of, but we still have the five plus bonus ball winners to look at.  And there were plenty of them during June as well, so congratulations to every single one.

On Wednesday 3rd June, four people bagged £189,610 each.

On Saturday 6th June, just three people got £520,731 apiece.

On Wednesday 10th June, an impressive ten people won £68,201 each.

On Saturday 13th June, half a dozen people each won £245,213.

On Wednesday 17th June, a respectable eleven ticket holders each walked away with £58,981.

On Saturday 20th June, nine people each won a wonderful £150,977.

On Wednesday 24th June, just five people won £139,726 apiece.

On Saturday 27th June, a whopping twenty seven people each won £48,800.

So in total, that gave us seventy five bonus ball winners for June.  That compares to over a hundred the month before!  The biggest number of people to win was in the last draw of the month, with twenty seven winners on the 27th, while the smallest was the three people who won on the 6th June.  They got the biggest bonus share for the month as well, with £520,731 each.  And as you might expect, the last draw with the most bonus ball winners produced the smallest share – at £48,800.

It was not a bad month all in all in the main Lotto draw.

Thunderball Results

If you play the Thunderball draw as well as the main Lotto draw, you will want to know what the Thunderball numbers were for June.

So as you can see, there were a lot of high numbers in evidence for the bonus ball last month.  Five out of the eight draws featured a number of ten or above, and the number eleven popped up twice.  Will we see lots more low numbers next month perhaps?

As you can probably tell, there weren’t any jackpot winners in that first week.  But the second week produced two – and one of them lives in the UK!  They scooped a jackpot share that was just shy of £25 MILLION pounds!

The third week saw one European winner, but the fourth didn’t have any winners at all – so that means we’re starting next month with another rollover.

Lotto Hotpicks

There is a £130,000 jackpot up for grabs here, which always looks tiny when you hold it up against some of the prizes in the EuroMillions draw.

But with that said it is still a nice amount of money to win, so you should think about having a go as well perhaps.  No one scooped that jackpot during June either, so you might just get lucky next time – who knows?

Dream Number

This is the draw where you are required to choose seven numbers – single digit numbers at that.  But the idea is that you need to have them in the same order as the numbers drawn.  You can win prizes for matching just one number or more, provided they are in the same order.

No one got lucky enough to match all of the numbers at any point during June though, so better luck next time!

Daily Play

You’re only playing for a £30,000 jackpot here, but you have a chance to win every single day you buy a ticket, except for Sundays.  We don’t usually see that many winners of this draw, so let’s see whether June produced any or not.

In actual fact we had three in total – one on the 2nd, one on the 19th and one on the 25th.  So three people will be celebrating having a little extra cash in their pockets!

Overall results

So there we have it for another month – and a month in which we had a lot more people winning significant amounts of money.

Perhaps the most notable event was that someone in the UK got to win a share of a EuroMillions jackpot.  So often we see it going to people in Europe somewhere, so it was nice to see a home grown one for a change.

So which draws will you be entering next month?  Will you stick with the main Lotto draw, or are there one or two others you have your eye on?  Whatever you decide to do, we’ll be back as usual next month with all the results and figures you need.

Good luck!
