Monthly Review Of Lottery Draws For July 2009

Well here we are again, and another month has gone by already!  That means it is time to cast a look over the lottery draws once again.  Did you get lucky last month, or are you still hoping for a share of one of those big jackpot amounts?

It could be of course that you haven’t had time to even check your tickets.  If that is the case don’t worry; we have got all the results you will need right here.  Did you enter the main Lotto draw?  We’ve got all the draws, the information and the numbers drawn for you here.  Maybe you have tickets for the EuroMillions draw tucked away somewhere?  We have the all important jackpot information for you there as well.

So whatever draw you entered – whether it was Daily Play, Thunderball, Lotto Hotpicks or anything else – you are in the right place to find out just what you need to know.

We had some great winners last month, and we expect to be reporting on some more wonderful wins this time as well.  July will have made another group of people winners – perhaps of large amounts too – and we might just be reporting on YOUR good fortune here as well!

So if you have any tickets you haven’t checked yet, make sure they are at the ready.  It’s time to see what actually went on during the month of July.

For the purposes of this chart the bonus ball numbers have not been included.

So there we have it for July – and what can we see?  Well there was only one draw where we had no jackpot winners at all.  Five out of the nine draws were won by a single player, with the other three draws giving us two, three and six jackpot winners respectively.

And we had quite a difference between the lowest and highest jackpot winners for the month as well.  The lowest was £762,709 per winner when six shared the jackpot on the 18th.  The highest in contrast was a whopping £7,985,672!  That was on the rollover draw on the 8th of the month, which went to one lucky (and probably quite stunned) winner.

So which numbers came out the most during July?  Here they are – the numbers that came out twice each were 2, 31, 38, 16, 26, 22, 28, 8, 41, 23 and 40.  One number came out three times, which was number 10.  And two numbers managed to pop out four times each – they were 39 and 35.

But as always there were also plenty of numbers that we didn’t see at all.  Keep a mental note of these because they might just become some of the most frequently seen numbers in the weeks to come.  The ones we didn’t see during July were 7, 12, 13, 15, 18, 20, 24, 25, 34, 36, 37, 42, 45, 46 and 47.  So there were four numbers in the forties we didn’t see, and four in the teens as well.  In contrast we had just one of the low numbers that didn’t pop up at all.  Perhaps we will see higher numbers next month?

Did we see any pairs though?  Well we had three last month, and unusually they were all in the same colour.  They all popped up in the twenties, with 21 and 22, 27 and 28 and 22 and 23 all coming out on separate occasions.  So there was a good crop of action in the twenties there, but no triplets this time.

Other winners

As usual we now come to see who got lucky with five numbers plus the bonus ball.  This is always just as interesting to look at, because you sometimes get plenty of winners and other times hardly any at all!  Let’s see what happened in July.

On Wednesday 1st July, two people got £383,856 each.

On Saturday 4th July, four people won £373,673 apiece.

On Wednesday 8th July, six winners bagged £160,406 each.

On Saturday 11th July, fourteen people won £96,869 each.

On Wednesday 15th July, eleven ticket holders got £69,191 each.

On Saturday 18th July, twenty two winners bagged £64,003 apiece.

On Wednesday 22nd July, seven people won £117,155 each.

On Saturday 25th July, eighteen winners got £81,022 each.

On Wednesday 29th July, fourteen winners got £45,174 apiece.

You will certainly notice that there were a lot of bonus ball winners last month!  In total we saw 98 winners when the month before saw 75.  That’s quite a big jump up, we think you’ll agree.  The biggest five plus bonus amount was right at the start of the month with £383,856 going to two lucky people.  And the smallest was quite a bit smaller than that – the amount of £45,174 went to each of fourteen people on the last draw of the month.

So all in all, July proved to be a memorable time in the Lotto draw.

If you remember June had a lot of high numbers in double figures.  What a contrast July proved to be!  The number 2 came out twice, and there was only one draw in double figures for the Thunderball, which was number 13 on the 4th.

Keep this in mind for next month – we might be looking at double figure Thunderballs once again…

Well we may have seen a UK based jackpot winner during June, but July didn’t prove to be able to repeat that result.  There was just one jackpot winner during the whole of the month, who scooped the huge £49.80 million pound win on the 17th.

And we are due another rollover to kick off August as well, so be sure to tune in to our report next month to see what happened!

Lotto Hotpicks

If you like the idea of scooping £130,000 in a jackpot, you will love the Lotto Hotpicks draw.

We didn’t see any winners during June, but did that picture change during July?  Let’s see – well there was one on the 22nd of the month, but that was the only jackpot winner we saw in this draw.

Better luck next time perhaps?

Dream Number

You need to pick out seven numbers in exactly the right order to win the jackpot on this draw.  It sounds easy because all the numbers are single digits – but it is a lot harder than you might think!

Well it certainly proved to be the case last month as there were no winners of the half a million pound jackpot at all.  We’ll hope for better news next time around.

Daily Play

Finally we have the Daily Play draw, which is exactly what it sounds like – a daily draw, except for Sundays.  We sometimes see a handful of winners spread throughout the month, but you don’t always get as many as you might think.

So what about July – did it produce a lot of winners?  Well we did see three in total – one on the 8th, another one the following day, and the final one on the 29th.

So all in all it wasn’t a bad month at all on the Daily Play front.

Overall results

July turned out to be a good month in terms of winners on the Lotto draw, but not so good for EuroMillions.  Just one winner for the whole month there, but we have another rollover to look forward to in August.

So if you want to be in on the action for next time, make sure you buy your tickets in time to take part in each draw.  Next time we could be reporting on your good fortune!

Good luck and we’ll see you next time.
