So here we are with the first round up of numbers from the main Lotto draw and the EuroMillions draw for the New Year. How did January pan out for you? Was it a good month or was it another one where you didn’t quite get the numbers you wanted?

For the purposes of this chart the bonus ball numbers have not been included.
So we had a bumper crop of jackpot winners during January, adding up to nineteen in total. This is compared to twelve last month. But there was a big difference between the draws which saw no jackpot winners – three of those in total – and those which did see winners. Two draws had five jackpot winners apiece.
There was also a big difference between the largest and smallest jackpot shares for January. The biggest came early in the month on the 9th, when two people each won £3,913,487. In stark contrast five people walked away with £264,490 on the 27th.
The five plus bonus winners also had a huge discrepancy between the biggest and smallest shares of the month. The biggest occurred on the 20th when two people got £347,312 each. That’s higher than the sum the jackpot winners got on the 27th! And at the other end of the scale just £9,924 went to a whopping forty one winners on the 27th.
Two weeks had numbers which started in the twenties upwards, while the other weeks had lots of low numbers appearing. The last three weeks had three numbers in single digits in each draw.

So we started the month off with some significant rollovers. Two winners finally claimed it on the 15th – and one of them was from the UK. They walked away with £26,151,124 and twenty pence! The next week was a rollover again and one winner scooped that on the final week of the month.
