For the purposes of this chart the bonus ball numbers have not been included.
So during December we had a total of just twelve jackpot winners, compared to sixteen last month. But we only saw two draws where no one scooped the jackpot at all – leading to that double rollover for the last draw of the year.
And that was the draw that saw the biggest win of the month – with a whopping £10.25 million going to one lucky winner. The smallest jackpot share still made two people millionaires on the 9th of the month though, when each person won £1,408,235. Not bad for the smallest share of December!
But did the bonus ball winners fare just as well, or did they end up with lower shares? The lowest share of all was a lot higher than last month’s £22,726, coming to a much more respectable £90,487 on Boxing Day. That amount went to fourteen players. And the highest share went to two people on the 16th, when five balls plus the bonus added up to £446,240.
Last time we saw lots of low numbers in the draw and that was repeated this month too, with a total of nine single digit numbers appearing overall. The number 2 appeared three times in total.

Date | Jackpot |
Fri 04 Dec | £26.30m |
Fri 11 Dec | £39.58m |
Fri 18 Dec | £52.88m |
Fri 25 Dec | £13.59m |
December saw a EuroMillions draw taking place on Christmas Day, with a jackpot of £13.59 million to be won. The jackpot had rolled over from previous weeks to provide a bumper amount of £52.88 million on the week before Christmas. That was won by one person, but it wasn’t a UK winner.
And unfortunately no one claimed the Christmas Day amount either, so we will have a rollover to kick off the New Year with!
